Well, we did it.  It was a very successful Haunted House this year.  The weather was gorgeous and lots and lots of people came.  We finally had to close down the line at 10:00pm!  I am tired and hurt everywhere, and couldn't sleep last night because of the pain, but still it was worth it:

Right in the midst of the craziness of getting everyone in their costumes and trying out special effects before we started, I got a WONDERFUL surprise.  I had a special visitor - straight from Iraq!  One of the "kids" I have become so attached to over the years from doing this haunted house walked in the door!  I had been talking to him by email and told him jokingly that I wanted him to tell the US Army that he had to be home on Halloween, and wouldn't ya know it worked out that he was.  I was soo happy to see him!  He's only home for two weeks and then has to go back, which scares the Hell out of me.  I'm so proud of him.  When we first got to know him, he was one of those kids you really had to watch - and you thought do I really want him in my home?  Now I'm PROUD to have him in my home.

How was everyone's Halloween?

Glad the haunted house was a success!!  Try and rest today.

If you see your wonderful soldier before he goes back to Iraq, please give him a hug for me and tell him stay safe.  While we may not agree with the reasons to be over there, we should always support our precious children, family members, friends, and spouses that are the troops over there fighting.

Good morning hillhoney.  Sounds like you all had a great time. What a wonderful surprise you had!! My heart goes out to all of our young women & men in service. I know the parents hearts of these young people are broken & just waiting for them to come home. I had several young men that I sent email & packages to, but they have all come home, safe & sound. They lived all over the US. I enjoyed it so much.

We had trick or treaters last night. I had my ChrissyBelle dressed in a dance hall dress. lol She wouldn't wear the hat. I took some pictures of her with some of the kids that came to the door. If I can figure out how, I will put them on the board.

Have a great day.
