I am glad I found this site... I am a 42 year old male and I just got diagnosed with this stuff in June... I Guess I really don't understand the magnitude of PA... I really feel bad for the younger people with this.. I do have a question, well two questions... Is it difficult for anyone else to get Humira approved with Blue Cross, And when you use it do any of you have issues with dizziness... Thank you..

Hi and welcome!! You are so right, this does suck!! I don't have blue cross but I know with my insurance (Health Alliance) you have to go through a series of meds to try before they will cover the Humira. I tried 4 different kinds of meds that either didn't work or I was allergic to before my Doc suggested Humira. I just took my first injection last Weds. and I haven't had any side effects at all. Give Blue Cross a call and they will let you know your benefits. Good Luck!

I have had issues with dizziness...kind of a pressure in the head which causes a sensation of spinning. Is this what you have experienced? I have also had a pressure in my chest.I have Blue Cross and they wanted me to use Enbrel instead.... don't really know why....but for me, it was a shot a week, instead of every 2 weeks like Humira.  No dizziness with Enbrel, it just wasn't working for me, so the doctor took me off and I have been having Remicade infusions. it sucks thats for sure
