Can anybody tell me if this ever happened to them on arava. I had been on it almost a month and this past week I had such a charlie horse in my leg. I went to work and could hardly walk on it. after a few days it looked like my foot was very bruised. So I went to the doctor and he told me that my tendon in my leg raptured and all the blood went to my foot crazy huh. He took me off the arava right away. He said it can cause all kinds of funny things. The thing is I never got sick from it but it did a number on my muscles in my legs. I had leg pain all the time and this is a side affect to. Well now I have to go back to my rhemy and tell him what happend. My doctor said he would notify my rhemy and tell him what he found . My 2 doctors will work close together to see if there is anything they can do for me because I have tons of allgery's to meds. I am in alot of pain right now and I wonder if it will ever get better for me
Have you tried any biologics? Gold, Plaquenil, Sulfasalizine, Imuran?
I have been on many. I even took gold shots when I was 29 years old. I am having a really bad morning i woke up at 12:30 am with so much pain I didn't know what to do. I am also wondering if some day I will not be able to type on my computer. My Hands and fingers knees and feet are so swollen today.I ate some french fries last night and it maybe had to much salt in.
I can't take methotrexate due to allergy problem to it. I also can't take the biologics because I can't afford it like 90% of the patients out there with this disease.
I just hope it keeps working. I don't have nausea and my arthritis has gone down about 75%.
