For the past several mornings I have woke up with a sore throat. It goes away once I am up and moving around. Does anyone else get this? It is weird.

Yes, I do. I have trouble breathing through my nose at night because of allergies and a deviated septum. I end up breathing through my mouth and that causes (temporary) sore throat and wicked morning breath.

Are you a snorer? That could aggravate a dry throat. If you're in a dry climate you could try a humidifier.

same here. I wake up with terrible dry mouth and sore throat, especially since we have had the heat on. Lower the temperature in your room, add a humidifyier, and sleep with your head out from under the covers.I live in a very humid climate but we have had a few cold nights and I guess the humididty has gone down....maybe that was it. I am just always on the lookout for another infection or virus to come along...I think, at least this time, it was just the weather.Try hot tea at night before bed. Then gargle with warm salt water or 50/50 mix of hydrogen peroxide and water. I've stopped a lot throat infections with that strategy. Works especially well with allergies.Yes, I have this too.  I am going to try the 50/50 solution and see if that works Deanna..
