I HATE it!
Every night I am stuck away because of pred... and every night I have to pee... I am on the right side of the bed and well the right side of the bed is VERY close to the wall and there is no room to walk. Soo... I have to shimmy down to the foot of the bed, because I cannot crawl as that would be horrific pain in my knees and my knees would give out as soon as my mind thought of the idea to crawl. Sooo... I have to do all of these extra "acrobatical" techniqes to get to take a piss! And some nights it is like 3-4 times if I drink something before getting into bed.
Oh... and it does not help if hubby is all over on my side of the bed... you know how hard it is to shimmy down to the bottom of the bed with someone's foot/leg up your a$$?? VERY difficult and getting back into bed is even worse!
It is even harder now that I have an extra gimpy left arm. Not like I use it alot, but just have to watch out for when I decide to roll to the end of the bed instead of shimmy. Shimming takes a long time to do and it seems like forever when you REALLY REALLY have to pee.
Yeah, well I thought I would share one of my "goodnight" thoughts. You know the things you think about while you are trying to fall sleep and hope that you bore yourself soo much with your thoughts that you will just give in and pass out of shear boredom?
Twin Beds Joonie, Twin Beds! For goodness sake girl do what is easiest and more convenient for you. Believe me Joonie, I speak from experience. Hubby had a freaking fit when I got twin beds. Was he thinking of me? Nope. Do it Joonie, do it!
Make hubby change sides of bed. If he doesn't want to change sides of the bed (men are completely weird about that) then one night get some warm water and dribble a little on the bed and then yell...SEE NOW LOOK WHAT HAPPENED! CHANGE SIDES WITH ME TOMORROW NIGHT!! I will bet he changes sides right quick with you lol.
I could never do twin beds. My husband is a snuggler and I love it. Especially on those cold winter nights. I do have a weird thing about blankets tho. I have to have my own cuz I wrap up in it like a burrito and he ends up with no blanket lol.
I love Liz's suggestion. Hee-hee.Liz, you are a devil!Nope, I will not change sides of the bed with him. I do not want to be incharge of the alarm clock and if he does not get off to work in time and daughter misses the bus I do not want it to be my fault and then have to hear about it when he got home from work.
There is no rearranging the bedroom, we live in a tin box and our bed fills up the whole room. We have it catty cornered now and that is so I would have some where to walk, but after we got our new queen size bed it took up all of my walk space
Sooo... I guess I am SOL
Thanks for the suggestions. I just needed to post about it to get it off my chest and to help me fall asleep. Joonie, I think your hubby can still be in charge of the alarm clock and shimmy down your side of the bed lots easier than you. Besides you spend half the night on the computer and the other have watching TV! Never tell anybody anything, unless you are willing to hear back about it![QUOTE=marian]

And never do anything you wouldn't want to explain to the paramedics! LOL.
