heh heh....By doin it I mean still losing weight? I know alot of yall were on various diets and I was wondering if anyone was having sucess. I am still trying...lost 1 1/2 pounds last week...again. I had lost 6 but when I had knee surgery I stopped thinking about healthy food and gained it back. Sooooo...here I go again.    Crunchy, like you I've gain 5lbs. I'm surprise that it's not more as I'm not that active. This knee replacement has slowed me down but I guess that all the effort of trying to do things is burning the calories.
Tried on my jeans and found that I could get my swollen knee in the jean leg. I couldn't 2 wks ago.
Another thing is that I've been eating low fat and low sodium foods. Plus I've cut down on the sweets and added more fruit and snacks that have fiber.
So people, it's not that hard to lose weight and it is good for me.

MarisaI'm still as chunky as ever.  No weight loss yet.  But, I'm holding out for some lbs to drop!
Kuddos to all you who have lost some lbs.!!!!!

I finally got my self on an exercize routine. And I think it's sticking this time. I am reading labels and cutting off all High Fructose or (HFCS) and white flour and white rice exchanging for Brown rice, 100% whole wheat bread and wheat pasta.

Best book I ever read is the new book YOU ON A DIET. By Dr. OZ. He was on Oprah last week and I got his book and read it. Best diet book I ever read. Although because of the Holidays I'm not ready for his strict 2 week diet. I am following all his reomendations on what not to eat.
Let you know how this works out.
I have gone from 176 after gaining 30 pounds on pred to 157.  I am 5'8".   12 more to go and I will be my pre-pred. weight.  I plan on losing it swimming but stress is a great way to lose weight Way to GO!!!!  That is awesome.  I have seafood disease:  I eat everything I see.  I know mine is a lot of stress eating.  I feel really out of control with this darn RA and my eating.  I'm sure it will level off.  I'm counting on it
Anyhoo......way to go!!!!!

GO ROXY!!!!

I don't have a scale....so let's say....Hmm I've lost 4 lbs. LOL I have no idea. Still fat, still wishing I was not! I gotta do more than wish. Have lost 11lbs in 4 weeks and feel great.  Tapered to 10mg. of Pred.  Lost by cutting portions in half and eating 2 meals a day with healthy snacks, brown rice, no milk, butter, soda, lots of fruits and vegetables, and no candy or cookies. Have restarted water exercise.  Will be facing knee replacement this summer and hopefully will be down 50 lbs.  If not, I won't have TKR done till I've lost all the weight.

Still trying....through the week I'm fine.  During the weekend I find it difficult to make the right choices.  But I exercise everday...so that's good.

Congrats on the weightloss, Linda! WTG!!I just joined our "gym" here at work.  If that's what you want to call it.   Phatgirl2

Congrats Linda on the weight loss!  I had forgotten my husband has a gym at work that I can use til PhatGirl posted about hers at work.  I should haul myself 5 minutes down the road and use it.

It was nice today and I went for a walk on the beach with the dog.  He went running into the water (he is part Lab and if he sees water he's in it) and came running right back out!  Gave me a look that said...MOM ITS COLD WHY DIDNT YOU STOP ME!!!

Congrats to those who have lost weight!!

I dropped about 15 pounds when I had a nasty run in with gastritis.  Since this flare though and the mega dose steroids, I've gained most of that back!  I'm finally down to 10mg prednisone so hoping to lose it again!  My goal is simply a single digit dress size!  I will start physical therapy next Monday and hoping that will get me back on track to some sort of physical activity.  I have an elliptical at home but no way could I do that right now.

I bought a yoga tape, like 3 months go and its still in the wrapper!

I'm just making sure to eat a big bowl of very nutritious fiber laded ceral in the morning, and I cut my cheese consumption by about  75%. I don't drink soda, never did, don't care for cookies or cake..

If she can do it, I guess we can do it. But UUGGGHHH the exercise!!

I'm sorry but....LOOK AT THOSE THIGHS????????????
They're thicker than her head..

I know... I was showing the picture to someone else and I said it looked like she had Thunder Thighs.

In all fairness....she looks good....she lost a lot of weight...and the truth is, we are so used to seeing toothpicks in bikinis that we forget what real women are supposed to look like. I have horrible theighs.....I used to have great legs...but...well..not anymore!

I have lost a little...and I plan to just keep working at it. But I was reading an article in the latest issue of First magazine where it says that like 60% of people say that it is easier if nobody knows they are dieting. Like online people who share the same goal is different b/c they dont know you. But that friends and family tend to sabatoge your diet even if it is subconsciously. It is pretty interesting. And I have actually felt that way. I havent told anyone...except yall...and I am doing okay.

Congrats to those of you who lost...good luck to those who are still working on it...and for those who are trying to build up the willpower to give it another try...come and join in...we can do it...for real this time! And for good!
