I just went out and weeded and pruned for about an hour. I came back in limping and my left hand is all gimped up, but I feel so much better. I would WAY rather be hurting and tired after doing something physical! Now I think I can cope. I am learning !!!! Now the recliner and a little Prairie Home Companion for company. It is turning into a good day...............
I like your attitude and you are so right. I've done the same thing today. Sundays are ALWAYS my lazy days (after my Humira and MTX Saturday night) but I got up this moring and finished some yard work before I took my morning shower. I'm pretty wiped out right about now...but I usually am on Sundays anyway. It makes me feel better relaxing now knowing I got so much accoplished though. Glad you're having a good day Roxy. Loive Raining here today so not much yard work will done. JenM Ive been putting off mowing my yard all weekend!!!!!! its WAY TOO HOT here in MI.. and now that i want to go out and do it, we are under tornado watches!!!! I bought my house a year and a half ago and the yard needed LOTS of work.. it also doesnt help that the neighbors dont trim the weeds that grow through the frnce to my yard! I do what I can and have lots of plans for the yard this year... ive felt pretty good for a while (enbrel most likely) and i hope i dont sleep my summer away ( im a teacher and have 2 weeks til in OFF!!!!)
Gardeners: why wont my seeds grow?!?!?! UG!
PS Did you gain weight on Enbrel? Great attitudes! I too, love working in my yard, and it seems that no matter how much pain I'm in before hand, I always feel so much better emotionally after mowing and weeding and planting! The best therapy is doing what you love. Keep up the positive thinking Roxy! You're on the right track! Cris Well i have gained weight over the past year, but i had lost 70 pounds while on pred (before enbrel) doing weightwatchers. I have stopped WW and gained weight. When i got on Enbrel in Feb it has helped a lot, but now i find ways to NOT go exercise. I try, but it doesnt always happen. I havent really noticed weight gain since feb, but now that ive read about it, I may watch more closely.. tho i am also weaning from pred... *shrug* I have used a grub controp on my back yard (where all the plants are) cause my hostas looked terrible last year. I tried growing seeds inside! and they didnt take..l i planted like 15-25 seeds and 1 grew for a week then croaked! UG!!! need to go and buy the pots and replant in the ground! BTW: i did get my lawn mowed about 20 minutes before the torrential rains came! Off to bed for now!almost 1am! You Go Roxy!! Oh and just pour salt on them sluggish snails...lol...or better yet eat them for an appetizer....
I planted my seeds in pots this year before I put them in the ground. I saved those little containers that you get when you buy a flat of flowers. I was amazed at the results. You have to keep them really damp to start; they dry out quickly. Keep them in part sun/shade so they don't burn up too quickly. I planted a mix of salad greens and they were totally spouded with in a week!! I've got some vinca's that are just now starting to sprout after about 14 days or more. Depends on your seeds I suppose. I love to watch things grow from seeds...I know it might sound geeky; but this is excitment to me now a days. Felt pretty good today... so far.. need to go study for my midterm tonight, so work has been ok. I even mowed my entire yard yesterday! its not big, but its enough for me and no one else to do it!
