I finally got it! | Arthritis Information

I finally got the dx of RA. My Rh factor is still low, but with the results of the bone scan and an elevated C-something, I got the dx I knew I had. My Rh is low at 10, but there is a pattern of it increasing. Last time I was tested it was at 8, and the time before I was at 6. I can't remember what was elevated, but the Anti-CCP was negative. I am to continue the Plaquenil bid 200mg, along with Voltaren 75mg bid, and Loratab 500mg 1Q 6hrs.

I just want to thank all of everyone's support. I knew I had this dreadful disease, you knew I had it, and all of your kind words means a great deal to me.

Thanks so much~

Panz

Well, it's not exactly something you can say congratulations for, but I know you are relieved to have a diagnosis so you can begin treatment. Knowing is always better than not knowing, no matter what the diagnosis is.

Good luck to you.

It's great that you can finally put an official name to what is
going on. By the way, I love the dancing turkey!!

And HilHoney- I'm a Karen also!

I am glad they finally gave you the official dx of what you knew all along.  That is always a relief.

Keep posting and let us know how you are doing!

The dx really does not matter as long as the treatment stops damage and brings pain relief. I hope you will again soon be dancing.

Panz,

I know you've been really concerned about this a long time. I'm glad you have the diagnosis. Could we just throw out the disease though? I hate to think of you having it. But I understand the relief.

Panz, how long have you been on the plaquinil? I have been taking it for
5 or 6 weeks and I have not noticed a thing, in fact, symptoms have
worsened. Not many side effects but I'm not sure it is worth taking at this
point.I start taking it for the first time tomorrow. I have a friend on it, and it took her 8 weeks to notice anything, but once she did, her pain levels weren't as bad. I hope you see some relief soon.Panz...glad you at least got a dx so you know what you can do about it...that always makes a huge difference. I swear it made me realize that I wasnt crazy!
