Headache | Arthritis Information

I recently started a pred pack to try and kick this flare from not having meds for so long. The pred pack is not working at all. The only thing I have gotten from it is the munchies and I think a headache. But it is a weird headache. Can pred give you a headache? The only time my head really hurts is when I turn it or cough. When I cough it is like a blinding pain. Anyone else experience this with pred? Does it go away?

My rheumy is on vacation and I am going to call my family practice doc Monday morning but I wanted to know if anyone here has experienced this before. If it is not related to pred I am going to ask him for an increase in it to kick this flare in butt!

The first month I was on Pred, OMG, I had this. It was AWFUL. Awful, awful, awful. I suffer from really bad chronic migraines though, so I don't know if the Pred just made them worse or what? They were bad for about 5wks, and then just went away. I haven't had one since.

I would def. call your GP on Monday....it's no fun to have pain like that on TOP of everything else!!!
Yes Pred can cause headaches I know I have them all the time I just take 2 aspin and it goes away. I am coming off the pred slowing now. Like any of these drugs they can cause alot of side affects. So hang in there.

I am calling doc in the morning to unfortunately try to increase the pred. I am sooooooo not living like this for the next 2 months until my meds start working again. I normally avoid pred like the plague because it makes me soooooooo sick. But I can't take the pain anymore!

LOL Deanna. I had this mental picture of you shaking a finger at me. I am going to the doc Wednesday morning and I will mention the headache. Hopefully I can still do the pred even with the headache. My pain killers are not working at this point and I am going nuts. I just need to kick this flare!
