I have been using the enbrel Sureclicks for three weeks now and take 10 mg. of Avara every other day .I have been on the Avara for almost two months now. I had no problems the first two weeks with the Enbrel... This week I had a weird feeling in my lipsand to one side of the lips(numbness). It was really noticiable yesterday(the day I do Sureclick) but today it has lessoned a bit but is still there.
I have a bit flat red rash under the skin right next to my injection site(on the left thigh) and a little one on my right thigh where I injected last time. It is getting a little itchy as well. I don't know what these symptoms mean? I am going to call dr. tomorrow but was just wondering what people thought this might be... on a positive note my hair loss has stopped and i can't believe how better that looks. It just seems like there is always something. I am really scared the Enbrel is doing something to me? Is this normal?
I have injection site reactions similar to the ones you describe except for that lip numbness thing. That sound pretty bizarre for Enbrel. I know nothing about Arava. So maybe that caused it?
I definitely have the itchiness at the injection site as well as a swollen lump that can vary from the size of a golf ball to a softball. Previous sites also get itchy and sometimes a few hives appear around them. So far my dr has not taken me off Enbrel (thank goodness). He did suggest taking an antihistamine a few hour before I inject.
Hopefully the lip numbness is not a allergic reaction to Enbrel. Call your Dr on that. you should probably go to the doctor to make sure its not a dangerous allergic reaction, dont you think?
hi i have had 7 shots of enbrel not only do i get the rash everytime i get a shot but 1/2 of my right foot has gone numb from about t4 days after the first shot. the shots are not helping at all and we are talking about going onto the next thing already. about the numbness which by the way i have fallen 4 times cause of it. they are sending me to a neurolisgist cause i also have tingling and my hands go to sleep all the time which started befor the enbrel. they want to rule out neuropathy and vasculitis. but the foot started right at the time of the enbrel but the rheumy will not tell me if it is from that. good luck....teresathanks
