NOT!!

I get to go pre-register for my surgery today

Ok... so maybe I am not looking forward to the extra added pain.

Or still not being able to wash both hands and arms.

Or anything else this surgery will bring.

Are you whimping out on us now? Here's the woman who wouldn't even go to the doctor in the first place, didn't need the pain killers because it didn't hurt, and now ....

you are not getting out of it that easy.

Go straight to your surgery, chin up and avoid walking sidewalks along the way.

And, when I have to have my knee surgeries, I expect the same solid advice.

LOL Joonie got told. *giggles* Yes, please avoid sidewalks  You know you need this, and you know you'll be FINE. Just keep thinking about what would happen if you DIDN'T do. EEk!

Ok it is not the surgery that is/was freaking me out it was and I say was because Mother in-law said they were going to draw blood from me and as most of ya know... I am afraid of needles.

But when I got there all they needed was for me to pee in a cup, and NO NEEDLES!! YAY!!!

So, now I have to be back at surgery registration @ 8:00am THURSDAY. Then I am suppose to be able to come home, unless for some odd reason I have problems during surgery.

YAY!  Same day surgery!  Teach hubby how to post so we know you are ok.

I was so scared going into my knee surgery but I put on a brave face untill they rolled me into the OR....then I started to shake from fear and I got tears in my eyes. The nurse leaned in and said "I will be right here with you the whole time" and the anesthesiologist said "let me give you something to help you relax".....then the nurse was waking me up and I was in recovery....I got two IV pushes of Demerol, plus a shot in the butt of more demerol and a script for pain pills...and home I went! Easy as pie!

Oh NO!! More needles!! Maybe I will be out of it if they give me a shot before I leave

I know what you mean Joonie..... My veins are invisible and I hate to have them draw blood.   I'll get the IV tomorrow and that darn nurse better know what she's doing or my stress test will go out the window!!

I'm lucky, my veins stand up at attention and yell, "Come and get it!" They took 7 vials yesterday.

But my daughter is really hard to stick. Tell them that up front. Hydrate yourself really well before going in and then tell them you want them to try the smallest needle first.

Sometimes if you tell them you are a hard stick, they'll automatically switch to their best person right off the bat.

I hope all things are easy.

Deanna39035.3223263889Justin is notorius(sp) for blowing veins and being an impossible bleeder. We always tell them up front. We've had them go get a paramedic to do it before. LOL He's a toughie. Now we just have this one really nice Lab nurse that they usually send us. She finally learned his tricks. Always with a butterfly, and always hang his arm over the bed for about 5 minutes first. LoL Joonie if you dont like needles so much how do you handle the humira shots every week?   you'll be just fine.

anyone here from Joonie today??

No :( she didn't have the surgery today did she? I thought she said thursday? I dunno..I've been so out of it lately...LoLyea her surgery is on thursday,i think i saw her online today I woke up and thought today was WED....shows how much Ive got it together!!!

I am here. Thanks for thinking of me guys.

It is has been a drizzly day here and I did not want to get out of bed... was so tired think it is close to my "monthly bill", so me and son slept our day away. He got out of routine this morning and woke up at 6am so... I was not ready to get out of bed so I let him play in his crib and gave him breakfast and then his meds for his ear infection which one of the meds makes him sleepy so we slept most of the early part of the afternoon, until 1.

Then when hubby got home we went to the thrift store to get more toys to sell on eBay... we need to stock up on money for the Black Friday sells!!

Christmas is going to be spurse around here this year. They are only getting one toy that is not over and then maybe a couple of toys or clothes. I am all about buying them clothes for Christmas, but hubby and mother in-law do not like it when I buy the kids clothes for Christmas, but to me they need the clothes more than they need the toys.
