Found my dog | Arthritis Information

The rescue I got Ty from has been in touch and thinks our Tyler is very special also.  They were so sad to hear he is going blind.  So I have been looking at dogs constantly but cannot afford to buy one.  The rescue charges 0 which is cheap as weimeraners are beautiful, sweet, active dogs and expensive.

Last night I got a call that totally cheered me up.  Tyler can still see movement and I think dark and light.  He is only three.  It has been hard to find a weim to fit in our household as they are hunting dogs and will kill cats unless raised with them.

There is a college girl who cannot take care of her 1.5 year old female weim.  Weims need a lot of attention.

WE have a fairly large area all fenced in, including the deck, that two weims can play and wrestle on.  I got a quote on fencing in our large backyard and when my disability comes through, I am going to do it.  I can't run Ty like I used to.  He was my hiking dog and swimming dog.  Now I am getting crippled and he is going blind.  WE NEED HELP.  So this new dog will be Tyler's eyes and exercise him too.  Don't worry, we will fall in love with her.  We are softies around here for animals.  So we are supposed to hook up sometime next week.  They are waiving the adoption fee as they know me well and know that I am a very dedicated pet owner.  Truth is, when Brett is around, they get lots of exercise as he has not quit the walks we used to take together.

Her name is Abby.  We will really have to watch Chico our older Yorkie, but Chico is a tough guy, he can hold his own

INTRODUCING ABBY

Wow Roxy, she is a beautiful dog. Our good friends have a
Weim and he is just great, only has 3 legs from an accident, but
has adapted very well and is very protective of the cat and
ducks when friends bring other dogs over. I'm suure Tyler will
help with the adjusting. Congrats!

My only worry is the cats.  They said she puts up with their cat.  We have three cats that just love Tyler.  She had better be nice with the cats.

We are now a no bird family.  Our cats have been itching to get those birds.  One got out of cage and flew out the door last week and the other is dead in its cage.  I found her this morning.
