So....Justin's been feeling GREAT since his flare up of crohn's was treated....For the past almost year, he's been working part time, out of necessity..however!!!! The guy who does the job full time, is leaving! Soooo Justin has been promoted to Full time Night Audit Manager!! WOOHOO!!! Raise and all! PLUS! We're going to go ahead and enroll him in the health insurance here. They won't cover his crohn's for 12 months...but we're already thinking of ways around that. It's better to have something than nothing at all! If we can afford it, when open enrollment comes around again, we may add me. We'll have to see...I don't even know how much insurance is here. But anyway..we're excited! More money for us and anyone that knows us knows that we need it! LoL He's very excited. Since he's been feeling better he's been antsy to get out of the house. And I'm thrilled simply because we can get out of debt. Woohoo! God knows stress doesn't do well for this disease. I just thought I'd share. We're very excited. :) *does a little dance*Thats great news...money doesnt make the world go round...but it sure does help.
Hi Katie
Just thought I'd give u some tips for Justin, after having half my digestive system removed when I was 26 - iI have learned a few things that I wish I knew sooner!
Stay away from milk!
Take probiotics daily! (big one)
Don't stop taking maintenance meds, even if he is going well!
Eat fish
Hope that helps :)
probiotics, like the stuff thats in yogurts? can you get those in pills???? cause he can only eat so much yogurt. :( he stays away from milk, and grease. he's pretty good about it. he's had this since he was 16...hee hee thanks for the tips though!!!!! :)
That's great news!
My husband has been taking probiotics for a month or so now...he has IBS and it's helped quite a bit.
Hi Katie,That is GREAT one both accounts!
I think that's one of my biggest goals in life...to make other people's a little brighter. :)
HEY!! That use to be my goal on these boards
I guess you can keep doing that, you seem to be better at it than I
That's what support is. When some of us are down the one's that are up can help. When some of us are up we can help those who are feeling down. That's also what friends, true friends, are for!
I'm happy for you and Justin, Katie. I know that is a big load off of ya'lls shoulders!
I guess my role is keeping plenty of drama going
You keep me smiling Katie. You have the most important role! I hope I have an adventure or two left in me to share. LOL look at it this way Roxy....if someone wasn't upset, who would I have to cheer up?!!? Hahaha
That is great news! I'm glad for you even if you do hate Kenny G.
Money can't buy happiness but it sure can buy off a whole lot of unhappiness!Hip Hip Hooray! Now you have me dancing!!
Dancing the night away!!! Great news Katie! I love your spirit!
Yay thanks guys!!! :) Justin and I have been like little kids. Marian - I know it doesn't buy happiness, but like I said, it sure pays the rent! LOL
