Welcome, Im a newbie too!  I love this site, everyone has been so helpful and welcoming.  I look forward to getting to know u and everyone else!  Now, I think i have read something about the flu shot and our meds.  I just dont remember what meds you cant take a flu shot with (or its not reccomended)?  Does anyone know?  Its either Enbrel or metheltrexate?  Hummm......let me know if u know the answer.

You can take the flu shot with everything I believe.  I would check with your RD though, just to be safe.

I am a newbie. I have psoriatic arthritis. I have been on Humaria, methotrextrate, and folic acid with not much results.  Yesterday I had my TB test done and my flu shot, and pnemonia shot. Will have my TB test read tomorrow. Remicade will be started next week. Hope it works. Welcome to AI. A lot of us have RA which is somewhat different and we hang in the Rheumatoid Arthritis section. You'll find most in the RA section.Hello, I have RA, along with Sclerits, and bowel problems. I am on 12 mgs injection. Yesterday had severe stomach pain, diarrhoea and nausea, who else has these symptoms, do they lesson with time? Take one folic everyday except day of injection. hope some one can cheer me up! Hi there! I have ra also and bowel problems too. I only take 8mg injections of mtx and 50 of embrel. I do take 3 folic acid a day. I have had quite a bit of cramping and nausea, more so the day after mtx. It is hard to take meds that help one thing but then make you fel like crap. I'm hoping the embrel will get this under control. Am I not supposed to take folic acid on days of injection? I hope you have a Merry Christmas. Take care, Cherie
