PMR & Effects | Arthritis Information

Have found it helpful to research PMR on the web. Have been experiencing a periodic aphasia / brain block; embarrassing when working with a client. Also watch for tenderness in the temple area and new eye problems. Wide mood swings and and depression or emotional challenge - think most of that is the Medrol, not the disease. Hoped to be done with this PMR in 6 months. It's been 3 years. Really- BOO.

Hi

Have you found any other info on neuro problems associated with PMR? I have had a whole bunch of MS-like symptoms which have been investigated over the years. I periodically have this brain fog which as you say is embarrassing when talking to customers. I'm dreading a really important meeting on Tuesday when I am representing my company and I am expected to give a talk on an important area of research.

I have had the GCA symptoms as well. I have blurred vision in my left eye which has not improved with the prednisolone. (Though the pain in my eye has improved.)

Hope you are having a better day today.

Love Judi

Hi Judi. I have been told by my rheumatologsit to monitor eye problems and/or pain/tendernes in the temples or around the forehead area because there is an associated disease called Giant Cell Arteritis than may cause hardening of the blood vessels to the eye and may cause blindness. I would certainly report any eye problems and also see an eye physician. Thank you for your response and I wish you well..... Donealot
