How many of you cannot drive because of your RA/Fibro or meds?   I am getting very frustrated.  I drive anywhere, tears come down my face from how much it hurts my hips and knees and hands.  I also feel scared as I am either in extreme pain or on pain meds.  Does anyone else feel stranded?

Roxy

I dont feel stranded but I feel for you.  I will keep you in my prayers....I know that things have been diifult for you.

There have been a few days that I couldn't drive because my hands were too swollen.  I can do about 30 max right now before my hips and knees are screaming.

I'm sorry you feel stranded.  Love and hugs

When both of my wrists are acting up at the same time, I can't
drive. I can't drive for any length of time without having to get
out and stretch because I get a lot of pain in my neck, back, and
hips. I know you want to be independent and I understand not
wanting to ask anyone for help, but maybe family could help
you out a little even if it is only one day a week. If you could
schedule everything on one day, it might be a little easier. I
hope you find some help soon! I would drive out there and help
you myself, but since I can't stay in the car for too long at a time,
I think the trip would take me about three months!!

There are times I can not drive either.  Mostly when the weather is pretty crummy.  It doesn't help that I drive a manual transmission either.  But I refuse to give up my stick shift cars.  I have more control over my vehicle in the winter and wet weather.

I just spent 2 weeks of having hubby drive my butt around because of this flare.  I went to the grocery store today by myself.  It's only 3 miles tho lol.  Then came home and promptly and right away fell asleep LOL.
