Enbrel shot | Arthritis Information

Does anyone ever get a black and blue mark from taking an enbrel sureclick shot?
I called enliven services to ask a enbrel question on giving myself a shot.
Wanted to know if I could hold up my skin like I did with the regular shot and they said no.

Then she asked me why and I said a few shots ago I got a black and blue mark and I was thinking because maybe my legs are a little skinny. She made a big deal about it and made out a report and told me to tell the doctor.

Is getting a black and blue mark (Very samll) a problem?

I do the Humira sure click pens.  I bruise a little bit too.  It is like a spring loaded mechanism (I can't think of any other way to describe it) that makes the needle come down and inject into the skin.  So it might be a little bit more forceful than doing it the other way with a regular syringe and cause a bruise.  I know that the meds I am on (humira, injectable mtx, and pred) will cause me to bleed a little more and bruise a little at the injection site.

Hope this helped!

I bruise at the 'drop of a hat'!!  Damn prednisone Thanks, I thought maybe I was alergic or something.

Also, last week I left out the injection to warm up and forgot about it for over an hour. I'm O.k though. I dont know how long you can leave these thing out to warm up. Enliven always does that....i guess its a good thing though.Yea, they really got on it. I started to worry. Like hey whats the big deal.

I,m sure they are just collecting data.
