Hello, I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone was able to offer me any information about the effects of sulfasalazine. I was diagnosed 2 weeks ago with undifferentiated spondyloarthritis vs. rheumatoid arthritis.
I am currently on prednisone and I am supposed to start taking sulfasalazine on Monday. I was told it will make you pretty sick when you start it. Can anyone share any information with me on your own experiences with this drug?

Definately ask your doctor for the enteric coated ones. They give much less stomach upset. Always take them with food. And for me, I've found I can't take them with other pills or vitamins. Also, try a good acidolphlus pill to take with meals.
