I was tired all day and slept most of the day.  We had to go to the grocery store, ended up Papa Murphys Good deal on only taking 2 pain relievers today.  Come up with a trick like I did to remember to take my meds.  What is the 2nd thing you do in the morning and one of the last things you do at night?  Place your meds there so you can see them and remember to take them.  You are so right Ms Liz.  I used to have a system, then I got so sick and I could not keep track of anything.  You have to know I already want to wean off pred, but after this evening, I know it is not a good idea.  When Brett gets back = 11 more days.  GOD I HATE PRED.  I woofed down pizza tonight.  I am realizing that I need pred too.  As much as I hate it and you know how much that is.  My face is puffy and I have a volcano on my chin lol.  However, I decided with much ummm...ohhhhh...let's say convincing (I say nagging) from hubby that it is the right thing so I can function and not live in a world of frustration at myself.  So I will be more spacey than normal and have a puffy face and look like the redheaded stay puft marshmallow woman lol.

I have been forgetting to take my actonel for 6 months now...I cant seem to remember that one. I dont have much of a routine...except that I keep all of my meds (or at least the ones I take at least once a week) in a small cooler bag. I keep it under one of the end tables in the livingroom near my laptop. That way when I lay on the couch at night to watch tv and websurf, I can take my meds. I have to take my bc pill, plus I have learned that if I dont take a pain pill when I lay down, it will take me hours to fall asleep and I wont stay asleep. I cant get my body comfortable if I dont take something for pain and a muscle relaxer. Moving makes it hard too. I needed to take my MTX injection tonight and I cant find my syringes. They may be in the back of my car...I dont think they are though....and I damn sure dont want to go outside in the freezing cold to look. But I had a good place for them before and now I dont know where all of my stuff is.

Roxy...You sound better today...more like your old self...its good to have you back!

Between the 2 of us Mark and I take a total of 20 pills and 4 inhaled meds each day.We keep all our bottles in a large rubbermaid sweater size storage box. Every week I load up my meds into a 28 slot locked compartment box, which I take upstairs and keep in the bathroom. Every morning at breakfast Mark loads up his daily meds in a small  altoids type tin.

I take my morning meds as soon as I get up, then when I go downstairs I do my inhalers.  I take my nighttime meds when I go back upstairs to bed.

The few times I've forgotten to take my meds, I definitely feel it, and this system works the best for us. Keep in mind we have small kids around so no meds are ever misplaced or unaccounted for.

I just use the pill boxes with the 7 days - one for morning and one for night. Reload on Sunday.

I am pretty good about it although once in a while I run off without my morning meds. I keep one dose of morning meds in my purse since I am reminded by pain that I forgot - that way I do not have to drive the 13 miles 1 way to take them. (I usually call DH to check pill box cause he works at home.)
