Could I have RA and Fibromyalgia | Arthritis Information

Hi There

I was diagnosed over a year ago......symptoms for a year previously but ignored them because I was dealing with my mothers illness and impending death

I was diagnosed with Fibro first and used a sleeping pill which like you I still end up moving and getting up all night long.  I was diagnosed using the pressure points.

I then changed docs and she said "you also have RA", lol.  I do understand and am on MTX which has only helped about 30% of the swelling so will start a Biologic in January.

I have noticed that many with RA/PA etc. also have Fibro.

You take care,

I had signs of fibromyalgia from the beginning.  I now have four diagnoses of four different forms of myalgia.  After all my reading, once you get an auto immune disease, it is highly likely you will get other auto immune diseases.  The only way I can differentiate my diagnosis is whether the dominant pain is in my muscles or joints.  I think fibro really sucks.  It seems like it has gotten worse and I was amazed that when the doctor push on the trigger points without me expecting it, I flew off the table.  It was like a reflex.  The trigger point thing is really true.  I am sorry if you have fibro.  RA is bad enough.
