ERRR.... Grits are a southern dish, usually eaten for breakfast.  They are made from ground hominy, which is a bleached corn.  The grits are served much like cream of wheat cereal - hot with butter, syrup, sugar, etc.

Ahhhhh  Grits and Eggs! Yummy!

It also stands for Girls Raised In The South!

My son LOVES him some grits! He will eat 2 packets and then want more and he is only 2!! He will eat them with butter and sometimes if I feel like it putting it in there, cheese.

I like them and eat them, but not like son does!

MMMmmmmmmmmmmmm Grits!!! Y'all are making me hungry! I love waffle house grits! Ok I want 3 eggs over easy w/lots and lots of pepper!That settles it, I am having grits for my bedtime snack tonight!!!!I like whole hominy better than grits.  I make a hominy casserole for breakfast with italian sausage, white sauce, lots of shredded cheese and cracker crumbs.  Yum!  Or sometimes I just open a can of hominy and heat it up with butter and pepper.
