Oh, I saw the oddest thing today. Somebody put Christmas balls on the points of a cactus, one with long stems that branch out in all directions. Unfortunately, it didn't look that cool.
However, in the sands of New Mexico, they used to decorate tumbleweeds.
I have my tree up and lights on the back porch...it is pretty... I'm slacking this year. Nothing up yet. But my neighbors across the street, their house looks very nice lol.I live in Florida and for some reason Floridians are really keen on Christmas lights - probably because it's warm enough outside to put them all up!
I saw the first lit up palm tree two days before Thanksgiving. I was driving home at night irritated and grumpy after a shopping fiasco in the sardine-can packed WalMart ... and then I saw those bright, happy little lights!
