Number one.  This oxycotin is amazing.  I feel so much better.  I even did dishes.  It makes me a little shakey but I will take that over agony.  Get this - I even got the dishes done

More good news.  I got so excited about the Antibiotic therapy that I posted on that board and already found a doctor that does it.  I have an appt. Dec.  14.  Can you believe it?????????  I am so excited.  Now I just have to find a warm water pool

DON'T PUSH YOURSLEF!!! :-P Just try to relax the first couple of days. I bet your shakiness will get better over time, as your body adjusts. I hope the doc has good news about the AP therapy. You never know, it could be the thing for you.

I'm just so glad you're not in pain! :) We should throw a party. LOL Did Kelsey make it back?

Yep Katie Kelsey is home.  Everything is good.  The best I have felt in months.  Just not terribly energetic.  I will clean house a little at a time.  Life is good finally.  No one should live with that kind of pain.  It took a lot for me to give in to the "big guns" but why not.  Without it, no quality of life.  Now I can focus on slowing the destruction of RA monster.

Go Roxy!!!! You need some battle gear. You got camo pants? LOL

You're right, no one should live with that kind of pain. But don't think of it as "giving in" you just made some adjustments. That's all. :)

I'm so happy for you!!! Liz's daughter came online and I was like " IS YOUR MOM AWAKE???" She said not yet, so I told her "When she wakes up, you GOTTA tell her that Roxy's meds kicked in and she's PAIN FREE. She'll be happy" LOL She still isn't up!!!

That is great Katie.  Now I am wondering since I still feel good, if I should take the other one I am supposed to take.  I wonder if I should only take it in pain.  That is what I want to do.  I FEEL GOOD and I took it this morning.  Acceptance isn't giving in!!! Acceptance is when anyone with any personal/health issue begins to take control over the situation they find themselves coping with. Whether a person is responsible for or is an innocent victim of a negative circumstance doesn't change the situation to be coped with.

Acceptance of arthritis then requires a choice between two options, which are: wallow in self-pity or find other activities which will quite likely result in new interests.

To wallow in self-pity makes everyone around you miserable and angry because they aren't responsible for your health issues either. You risk driving away the very people who care for you and that you quite likely rely on.

To accept the fact you have arthritis allows you to identify ways that life can lead to the fullest life possible with a minimum of sacrifice. YAY!  So glad something worked for you!!!  Isn't it great to finally have pain control!!  Take your meds as prescribed.  You don't want any in between time with pain.

Roxy, I am so happy to hear you are feeling so well!!!

Isn't it wonderful to finally find something that actually works for the pain? Katie is right. Your body will adjust to some of the side effects. Not all, but some of the little annoying ones.

By the way, Roxy, even if your body does become dependant, that is NOT the same as addiction. Dependancy is a physical thing and if/when you need to go off of it, your doc will just have you taper off and you shouldn't have any trouble.

Addiction is also psychological(sp?). That's when people are getting a drug, not for pain control, but for the "high" they may get from it. And obtaining that drug becomes a consuming thing for them. That's how my pain doc explained to me when I had concerns about taking the opiod drugs.

As concerned as you are about taking these meds, I'm sure you are not going to have a problem

I am so excited for you. You had such a bad time for so long. Just enjoy, and don't try to do everything at once.

Many hugs and Blessings,

Nini

Yay!!! I'm SO happy for you Roxy!!!!

*dances around the room with Roxy*

Hmm, I'm going to have to teach you to make truffles now!!! Thanks you guys.  It is such a relief.  life in pain is no life at all.  I was in such a good mood today.  Thanks for being there and thanks for being happy for me.  You are the best friends this girl has had since RA

So happy you're feeling better Roxy and have new options for for your fight. I love Katie's image of you in camo!

Ms. Midge, Glad to see you. I'm glad you're ok. Hope your headache is all gone now.
