It's cold out and it's putting me in the holiday mood. Darn the new knee, take a extra pain pill, and getting started on decorating. It's not going to be my usual job but it will be something. I'm even going to do my cane!

Roomie isn't to happy with me as I made him get out the totes with my holiday linens and decorations. I'm so excited!!!! Just wish that some of you lived close by as we could have a decorating party. Will miss putting up my mistole and weathes as I can't climb up on the step stool or get down on my knees yet.

    To all of you, HO,HO,HO!!!

Hi Marisa, I'm in So. Calif. so it's not really cold, but I'm still in the holiday mood!

My sweetie also had a knee replacement, on 11/9, so the kids are coming over to put the tree up and put lights on for me. Also help with any really heavy stuff that I can't do.

I would love to have a decorating party! Really sounds like fun

Have fun, but don't work too hard! HO, HO, HO, back at ya!

Blessings,

Nini

Yay for decorating!!!!!!

My living room looks like christmas threw up....and has for 3 days. I got the tree up, but thats about it. I figure I have until Tuesday to finish, then I can get the house clean for my party on friday. heh.

Have fun!!! Make some hot apple cider too!!! Mmmmm
Don't forget the Christmas music - it's great at setting the mood!  Have fun everyone, just don't overdo!

This house is a riot - I have a pair of giant Christmas Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse.  Everytime I leave the room, one of my boys puts them into a different compromising position!

Where I am in Florida it's been in the 80's!. I would like to feel cold if even for just a little while. I'm headed to Oregon in a couple of weeks to be with my boys for Christmas and I believe I'll be feeling it then!

OMG!!!  Tell him to stop that!!!!  That is just wrong!!! OMG!! LOL!!!  That is funny.  I love Mickey Mouse.  I have a collection of Mickey stuff.  And Mickey Mouse tattoos.

We just finished decorating out tree! I strung cranberries to put
on it too. I'm so domestic We are leaving the 22nd so we
got our tree early this year, so we can have plenty of
enjoyment. I'll post pics tomorrow. And I want to see pics from
everyone else too!Well...we HAD a tree. And then in taking it down last year, it broke. So we trashed it. So far the ONLY FREAKING FAKE TREES in the area, are several hunded dollars, pre-lit, and 7-9 feet tall. OR they're 4feet tall and look worse than Charlie Brown's. Sooooo not what we're looking for. I dunno what we'll end up doing this year. We do have our lights up out front though. We always do a pretty blue trim and pop in a blue porch light. :) It's such a nice glow! If we don't get to a tree this year, we're going to go on a hunt of the after christmas sales to see if we can find a good cheap one. Oh well....what can ya do!

Katie, try Big Lots or some of those ones that are a step above the dollar stores. We got the prettiest silver one a few years back and it is so pretty. I put gold and red ribbons, some hand painted ornaments. Usually like the green ones the best, but this one turned out so pretty and it's just the right size.

One year, we were traveling out of town and didn't want to have the tree die on us while we were gone. So, I covered the front door with Christmas wrapping, cut out a big green tree and decorated it like a Christmas tree. Kids still remember it as something special.

That's awesome Deanna! Our big lots is just a glorified yard sale, and it smells REALLY bad. The *4* (I sh*t you not) trees that they DO have, are pre-lit and the cheapest one is . This place is insane. I don't get it.That door thing is so cool!!! We're never in Georgia for
Christmas week, so we should try that next year!! Plus, down
south real trees cost so much more than up north. The same
tree my parents get for , we get for -. It's friggin
ridiculous! For a real tree? That's because jack sh!t grows down here. LMAO They have to get it all from the north and ship it down!

Our Big Lots are nice here. You can get really good stuff. Our dollar stores are most excellent too.

Okay, hop on a jazzi and ride over here to do your Christmas shopping. Justin won't mind. Of course, he won't see you for about 12 years.

I haven't gotten our big tree yet. We'll wait until next weekend when all the kids are home to help....but I've gotten some stuff out and even put a small tree in my room this year!

I love it. I got one of those table top pre-lit ones at target and decorated it with light blues and real bright green to maych my room decor. Put some peacock feathers and little crystal decorations too. I spend so much time in my bed at night I know I'm really going to enjoy having one in there.

Happy Holiday's everyone. AND; I don't mean that in any disrespectful way toward CHristmas. MERRY CHRISTMAS!! Don't you just hate the way Happy Holiday's has turned into a bad thing to say?

My house has ben decorated since the Monday before Thanksgiving.  I got the tree decorated on Wens.  You think you walked into Santa's house!!!  If it isn't moving it is decorated!!!  We have a room off the dining room with glass sliding doors and that is where the Christmas tree is so that I don't have to worry about the cats swinging on my tree.  I can tell you boy do they want to get out there and check that tree out.  We have a radio station here that plays Christmas music from the day after Thanksgiving till the day after Christmas so we got plenty of music to listen to.  i got my Christmas shopping done now it is the wrapping to do, thank goodness for gift bags.

PS Katie do you have a Menards in the area they have very nice trees, from 4ft up.  We gotour there last year, it is a 6 1/2 ft for under 0, and I know the 4ft were under .  We also had them a Wally World for under , but I think Menards' trees were nicer.

meme39054.2188194444No we don't, we're too far south. We have Target, Walmart and Kmart. Would you believe that Kmart has the most expensive trees?!!? I was shocked! The battle we're having is that we DON'T want a pre-lit and that's just about all there is here. :( It's our own fault for being so picky. LoL Katie, have you checked the classified for a used artificial tree?  Try craigslist, and your local newspapers - often people give them away for free. Hillhoney39054.6611574074Katie Wally World (walmart) has a 3 to 4 ft tree without lights for between 20 and 30 bucks check it out.  memeBut we want a BIG tree. A 7 foot-er. LMAO I told you we were too picky....
