well I  have   a appt   with  the  ap  protocal  doc  tomorrow...

I hope  this  helps....

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!Hey Mark,
I for one would appreciate if you keep us updated on how that is going for you. As I've indicated I've been starting to research AP Therapy and I've been hoping for some first hand accounts. I'm picking up "The New Arthritis Breakthrough" I have on hold at the library tomorrow. It's a book about this therapy which also has that book "The Road Back" inside of it.
I'm rooting for you!

Newbie here...AP doc? translation is??? thanks. K

Mark:

I'm so excited for you!!! I've been on AP for over a year now and it has saved my life.

The first month was hard. I had a nasty herx which is pretty common. I was pretty dizzy, tired and hurt all over but little by little it got better.

You can get a lot of encouragement from the folks at: www.roadback.org.

I'm on Minocin (name brand) 100 mgs. twice a day on Monday, Wednesdays and Fridays.

Good luck Mark - I hope you like the doc and the AP works for you.  I am really getting pretty excited with my response to it.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  Hugs and good vibes.Oh mark do let us know!! Be sure you mention the colitis, that may have an effect on the meds he uses. AP therapies have been used for GI diseases as well. We'd love for Justin to try one, but without insurance, it's a bit hard. Maybe one day though! Good Luck! Keep us posted!Coolkrivera, AP is Antibiotic Protocol

Mark just checking to see if you liked the doctor and after talking to him what you have decided about AP - let us know.  Hugs and good vibes.

 hi  all,

well I    had  my meeting  with the  ap  doc  and  I liked  her.

her  only  suggestion    because  her office  is  not   real  far  but   not  that close  to  where  I live is  that I  ask  my Internal med  doc  if  he  would  be  willing  to  do  the  minocin  she  said  it is a  common  arthritis   antibiotic  and  any  doc  worth  there  weight  knows  this..  She  only  made  me  take  this  step because  I  never  asked  my own  doc  first  and  she  said  to be  fair  you need  to  give  the  doc  you have  seen  for  years  a  chance  to talk  to you  about this  first  just  tell him   why you want  to  try  it   and  she  feels  he  will let  me.

She  said  if  not  then before  you  can  do  this  you will need   to transfer  your  care  to  me  because  she  can not  write  me  a  scrip    without  me  being a  patient  of  hers.

SO  I  made  the  proposal  to my  current  MD  in a letter  explaining  why  I  would  like  to  try  it   ect...   and  just  have  to see  what he  thinks.. if  he  says  no  then  I  will have  to make  a  hard  choich...

you  got  to love  arthritis  I   quess  it  can really  make  you  have  to  make  lots   of  decisions  you    do not  want  to  make  I like  my  current  doc  but have  to  decide  if  he  says  no if    trying  the  ap is  worth  saying  bye  to him.

since  so many  people  have  had  good  results I  really do  want  to  try  this    but  like  she  said  I  have  to  give  him  the  opportunity  to  respond    first  otherwise  she  said  your  not  being  fair  to  your  current  MD    shes  not  far   and  not  going  anywhere   so if  my   doc  says  no  I  can  switch  it's  just  hard   ending  relationships   even  with  a  doc...  but  if  forced  to  I  will.

I  really  hate  this  arthritis   have  I  said  that  before?

Glad you had a good appointment Mark.  If your regular doc isn't familiar with this treatment maybe he will share you with the new doc.  Remember to take all the data you can get your hands on with you when you see him and remember he works for you!!  I'm betting you won't have a prob and I'm wishing you the best of luck.  I hate this disease also!!!!  Keep us posted.  Hugs and good vibes.Hi Mark,
I posted this link on another thread here but it bears repeating, I think. I found it at roadback.org. It's advice on how to approach your doctor about AP Therapy. I hope it is helpful to you.
