I was just wondering on how many are still on prednisone??Was it hard to cut it out???
I've been on prednisone for months now while waiting for other drugs to work. Just yesterday my rd told me to start reducing the drugs. I'm only taking 5mg right now. I'm supposed to go to 4mg for 2 weeks and then 3, etc.
We're hoping the Remicade kicks in soon. Yesterday was the 3rd infusion.
5 mg a day for the last 2 yrs, I don't think I will ever get off the pred! Scout I sure do hope that the remicade does start to help for you. Every time I try to decress I start to flareI have been on 10mg since Feb '06, before that I was on 5mg for about a year.
I am looking to decrease the pred as, I think it is time to decrease it as I am having a few side effects, I wish to get rid of. I do not know if I can come completely off of it as I would only be on Humira and nothing else, but would be nice to come completely off of it and get rid of me good ol' moon-face
Oh yeah... I forgot! I was off of pred for a month. Did not seem to bother me and I was on it for over a year, it was 5mg. But then I got put back on 15mg because I was still swelling non-stop and hurting, and then I got cut down to 10mg and have been there every since.
