No, I wasn't smoking anything but the prednisone is killing
me!!! I am on 60mgs for my lung inflammation from that allergic
reaction last week. I am eating everything in sight! I even ate a
Christmas tree cake that is so sweet I usually can only eat one
bite! So far in the 4 hours I've been awake I've had one bowl of
oatmeal, a large salad, several handfuls of peanuts, Christmas
tree cake, pringles, a piece of toast with butter, and I am still
hungry! I gained 10 lbs the last time I was on pred, I can't gain
any more! Help!!
I couldn't imagine the munchies on 60mg!! The most I ever did in a day was 40 and I know I would have ate a dead carcass off the side off the road if you poured chocolate syrup over it!!!
I recently did 30 for two weeks and gained 8 pounds. I would sit and eat an entire bag of candy bars than eat dinner than have ice cream. Sorry, no help but I do understand!! I'd say pad lock the cupboard and hide the car keys but god help anyone that you come in contact with than!So I was raiding my pantry and I found some microwave
popcorn, so I ate the whole bag. Then I had to have cheese
with my popcorn! I have to go run some errands to stop the

Please help our friend RASara82 stay out of the food. She is on 60 mg of pred. She needs your intervention.
I know I would.I did a good job tonight. We went out for my hubby's work
dinner with some Eygyptians to a Japanese Hibachi place. I
only ate half of my plate, then put my water glass in between
me and my plate, so if I wanted more I would drink water
instead. The leftovers will be my lunch tomorrow. I need to do
better with these munchies! At least I taper down to 40mgs on
Thursday!Oh that is horrible to have the munchies its like a never ending hunger I would just pick at everything no wonder i gained to much weight
I had really weird food cravings when I was on a high dose of pred. I mean weird. Like one night for supper all I wanted was creamed corn with white rice in it! Gross eh? One night it was Swedish Meatballs. An even weirder thing....I can't eat breakfast food for breakfast anymore. It makes my stomach turn. I want soup every morning for breakfast. But, I can eat breakfast food any other time of the day. Gotta love the weirdness of some of these meds lol.
Just don't eat so much. LOL. Yeah right. I think your doc should go on a high dose of pred for a while lol. The weight gain doesn't bother me as much as the puffy pred face and the acne. I feel like a teenager again with this acne. I'm using my 14 year old daughters acne stuff!
I have been lucky enough not be on prednisone for long periods of time.
