Thats my new song...my hands have been tingling for the past few days..a little bit my toes sometimes..but my fingers and thumbs are driving me crazy. I wonder if this is common with RA..even if there isnt alot of swelling...or if there is something else going on....anyone else get this?yes, I do too Crunchy and I don't know why it's happening!  SO frustrating. I talked to my doc about this and he thinks it is RA related. The nerves and stuff could be inflamed.

Yeah..maybe that is what it is...I thought it was related to my c-spine thing at first but when my toes started up too...well..it would have to be a neat trick for my neck to do that to my toes.  So I figured it was either a side effect of the Topamax or it was the RA..now I am starting to think it is RA related cause my joints are really fussing right now. I have been doing pretty good for quite a while with the whole pain thing. I mean, my pain always comes from my neck more than anything else. And when it is RA pain it is pretty isolated to a few joints at a time. Like hands and feet one day..and then hips and back the next..so I can kind of compensate with the ones that are okay. But today...the tingling got much stronger and more intense...and tonight..I am pretty uncomfortable. All of my joints hurt...and my muscles ache too. I just have generalized pain. And that is one of the things about RA pain that is weird, and it always suprises me. It is like as long as I am moving I am not really having pain...maybe weakness or sometimes, after a while discomfort...but as soon as I stop and sit down or lay down...Oh my Gosh does it hit me and hard! It is the strangest thing...

certainly even when I dont have alot of pain I can stop and rest for a minute and when I go to get up everything is all stiff and sore...I still expect to jump right up...sometimes I still can..lol..sometimes there is just no way....but I try, and almost fall flat on my face.

I get a lot of tingling, too. One day for about 4hours I had a terrible case pins and needles thing going on in my hands. I couldn't stand it. I just paced the house for hours not knowing what to do.

I did not have this tingling until after I started Enbrel so I sometimes worry it might be drug induced MS. I also have hypothyroidism (like many RA people) and thought maybe I needed to increase the synthroid dosage. I had my DR check my thyroid but have not heard anything back yet,

Still get some tingling but nothing like that day.well this went on for 4 days...now today..so far..it is hard to tell..there is a mild tingly ness but not to intense....I have no idea...LOL..at least I am not alone...I am starting to think that what grammaskittles said is probably right..I think it may be some innflammation around the nerves. Yet another joyful symptom of RA....I GET THE TINGLING I HAVE ALSO LOST THE FEELING IN 1/2 OF MY RT FOOT AND I AM FALLING ALL THE TIME. I LIVE IN BC CANADA SO I TAKES AWHILE TO SEE SPECIALIST BUT I AM GOING IN JAN TO A NUEROLIGIST. I HAVE TO USE A CANE NOW LAST WEEK I FELL DOWN MY BASEMENT STAIRS MY FOOT JUST GIVES OUT. MY RHUEMY THINKS IT IS RELATED TO ENBREL WHICH I STARTED ABOUT 3 MNTHS AGO THE FOOT DID THAT RIGHT AWAY. I HAVE BEEN OFF THE ENBREL FOR 3 WKS BUT STILL NO CHANGE. ANYWAYS I WILL LET YOU KNOW WHAT THE SPECIALIST SAYS GOOD LUCK.....TERESA

I have this all the time, especially in my right hand. annoying as heck, dr says its from swelling pressing on the nerve.

Its especially bad when driving or eating,

Can I do the "I told you so" dance?

My toes were at it today, I often think the quick changes in temp. have something to do with it....

Or maybe it was that three mile hike I went for last night.... TEE-HEE!
