different pills together?? | Arthritis Information

My upper back has been in so much pain.

Ra can not affect upper back can it? I'm going to have to go to urgent care today when it opens up. I can't take this. Yes, RA can affect your upper back.  There are still bones, joints, muscles, and nerves there and RA likes them all!

There are several people here that take muscle relaxers along with mtx.  I take pain pills daily and I am on mtx.  Just remember to always check with your doc if you are going to add anything new to the meds you are already taking.

I am a little careful about this against doctor's advice.  If I take my muscle relaxer and neurotin at night, I don't take the oxycotin.  I hurt no matter what when I wake up and I don't like being overly drugged when I go to bed.  I have fallen in the middle of the night and sleep walked.

I hope you are at the clinic right now getting fixed up.  They have this one shot, I forget what it is, but you feel NO PAIN.  Maybe that and some cortisone will fix you right up.  Let us know how you are doing

I never knew RA could be in the back I guess you don't hear much about that area.

The doctor just always said it was from my accident and the arthritis in my spine. The muscle spasm from protecting that area. They never knew I had RA back then in 2003. I know those shots helped a lot.

No I didn't go to the out clicnic today. I have to go to a Christmas dinner for the church tonight don't have time. It will have to wait until Monday now.

I won't take all those pills together again or not as much. I felt over drug ed.

Back pain a lot better today those muscle relaxers helped.

I will have to let RA doctor know about my upper back pain. Like I said I just always thought it was from the accident that caused the spine dammaged that caused the fibro. I just went to the regular doc for that.

I'm sure now that I probably had RA for some time now. Longer then just a few months.

Upper back pain in not something you want to mess with that is for sure! I am prob going to have to go back to using the Skelaxin myself, the pain just gets to be too great at times.

My spine has really been out of alignment lately, maybe due to lack of exercise or old age? Regardless, I do gain some relief when going to the Chiropractor, he has been a life saver that is for sure.

Try not to take toooo many meds there lady! That'll get ya nothin' but trouble. Maybe try Aleve or Tylenol or Ibupro for the breakthrough pain.

Save the realy strong stuff in case of an emergency so you know it will work.

I take muscle relaxers, tramadol, MTX & Humira at the same time a lot.

RA affects my lower back; which I didn't believe until I saw a spine specialist and he did an MRI to confirm it.

My doctor approved all these medications at once; so I feel comfortable taking them all. I really only take them all when I'm in for the day or at night only. I'm not confortable driving or managing my work responsabilities on all of these meds.

I do take a lot of advil during the day when nessesary; and suprisingly enough it does help. When it's bad I'll take 4 at a time (Always with something on my stomach; never an empty stomach) I try to only do that when nessesary. It's not exactly "good for you" but I've learned to do what I have to do to function. Some days are better than other's.

Hope you continue to feel better.
