lupus question | Arthritis Information

I am wondering if the lupus rash can be on a part of the body other than just the face.  I have had a rash on my wrist for 2 yrs but did test neg for lupus.  At this time I am sero-neg RA.

Any thoughts would help.

Thanks.

Bonny, I believe the answer to your question is "yes."

My RA symptoms started a year and a half ago when I had a rash on my legs. The docs were all like, Lupus! Lupus! And when I pointed out that the rash was on the wrong end of my body, they said it didn't matter.

So there you have it. I hope yours doesn't turn out to be lupus. Just a nice, decorative wrist rash. Maybe some contact dermatitis you can sport as a badge that you are a non-lupus patient.

See a dermatologist. They have more experience and might help you out here.

I will have it checked.  Also anyone with Lupus and neg labs, well, for me as of last April.  Am having labs done again in January.

thanks so much for the help,

Is it possible you have psoriasis?  Psoriasis often is associated with psoriatic arthritis, which is basically RA with psoriasis.

I think you should see a dermatologist..they can be much more definative.
