I would like for someone to email me on this question if you know answers. I had an upper respiratory infection I couldn,t get over and my doctor had no openings so went to another who is good and one I see in such cases. While there I asked for a Uric Acid test. That was fine but the titer Rheumatoid Arth. Factor test came back positive with reading of 41 and with a note strongly positive. ANA Screen Negative. I see my doctor on Friday in regards to this but as I am ANXIOUS NOW I would like imput from some of you dealing with this. I am reading on internet sources that with a negative ANA there would not be RA. Also, would the infection cause an elevated reading. Another thing- I am 68 and I know as you get older, this RH factor is elevated. Can ANYONE give me any imput on this? Email me please mfergu3aol.com Thanks for your time. MF
