Ok so somehow the thread about politics reminded me about something i found while finding information about ins through my state when i decide to get pregnant since i cant get ins myself and i found it rather rediculous.
If you are pregnant and meet the income requirements for Moms & Babies, you can get Moms & Babies.
Moms and babies is a program offered through the state of Illinois that you can get if you qualify should you not have insurance and become pregnant. Now heres why i think what i included above is absolutly rediculous. Now im not trying to start trouble, this is MY opinoin and it doesnt include everyone. Now it says that you dont need to be a citizen or legal immigrant to be on this program. Now i am a citizen and i have a SS number and i pay taxes but because my income between my husband and i is more then what they need it to be i cannot qualify for it. but those that are not in this country legally and obviously arent paying taxes since they dont have a ss # (please correct me if that isnt how it goes) they can get FREE assistance but me no i cant get it cause i make to much DA&M money? How much sense does that really make now? Hmmm maybe i should right a letter. What are your thoughts on this? WRITE A LETTER!!! You are preaching to the choir!!The kicker is that those that don't have ss#'s are probably working but getting paid under the table and not reporting it. They may make more money than you do.i know, its crazy that those that are here illegally seem to get more help from our country then we do. God forbid they do what needs to be done to be a legal citizen, but im sure most of those that are illigal dont want everything handed to them like they are used to...Sorry folks but this is a VERY sore subject for me, so please dont take offenceIt's also sad for those who are here legally. is a large number of Mexican immigrants. Many pay taxes and
contribute to society, but there are a bunch of bank robberies,
home break-ins by illegals. They give the legal immigrants a
bad rap. you are very right, now there are alot of legal immigrants that i know that are very hard workers and really would do anything for anyone. My dads next door neighbor is spanish and he is one of the nicest guys i know, they bring food over, invite us to their parties, mow my dads lawn LOL those are not the type of people im frustrated about. ohhh dont you gotta love our country? they cant help those that are here and pay taxes and other things of the sort but they help everyone else
