Don't have time to look back to find where the post was, but I saw the commercial today for the scooter store.  That's the one I was talking about.  They'll help you out with Medicare, etc.....

Hope that helps

Please note the following from their :

For the last 15 years, The SCOOTER Store has worked diligently to protect your right to the mobility you need to live independently in your own home. We have provided power wheelchairs and scooters to more than 250,000 mobility impaired seniors. On November 15, Medicare is expected to implement a new policy that could significantly impact your mobility benefits. If you have trouble walking to accomplish every day tasks around your home, please talk to your doctor and call The SCOOTER Store or any other dealer right now.

The power wheelchair or scooter that you receive after November 15, 2006 may be of far lesser quality than those provided in the past. The new changes in the benefit mean Medicare will provide significantly less reimbursement for power wheelchairs and scooters. You will have to pay the additional cost out-of-pocket or accept a much lower quality power wheelchair or scooter that probably will not meet your needs.

We believe this is wrong! We urge that you take action now to help prevent Medicare from diminishing your ability to gain the mobility you or a loved one need.

Click here to take action and tell your local and national representatives to Preserve Your Mobility Rights!

Have questions? Call The SCOOTER Store toll free at 1-800-391-7237, we're here to help.

Okay, I really appreciate the link. I do. Because hopefully, I am gong to need this link soon. I've looked at the other links that others have been so kind to provide as well.

But it still boils down to a doctor being willing to write a script that I cannot operate a manual chair. Without that, I am literally stuck.

I go in a few minutes to try and fight that battle one more time.
