It's disgusting to see but what can we do about it? The people have spoken - they want their 50$ heating pad and, from the looks of eaglepi's first post, a chance to become embroiled in a multi-level marketing scheme.

Notice their ADVERTISMENT still has top billing on the board - which is exactly what they wanted all along.

Lynk, not EVERY product is a bad one you know. Why not do a little research about it first. Have you even googled it? Its worth a try. I google EVERY product that's "advertised" here. Its just a thought. A sensible approach...though I haven't quite figured out why RA sufferers need "disposable mesh underwear"...LOL well of course if it obviously has nothing to do with the board, then it's spam. Hahaha Mesh Underwear....lol

Miss Katie,

So many caring members have given such good free advise. Heated dry rice for joint pain. It's too bad these caring members didn't sell us sacks of dry rice for .95 (plus shipping and handling of course). Send Miss Katie one for free and she will become a sales rep. for the rice sacks.

Miss Katie, if a building is smoke free, there is no smoking in the building. Not good smoking or bad smoking.

This forum is spam free, you know that. Why make a case for a company that you don't know, or do you?

Miss Katie, if a good product or med is found, we won't need a sales rep to sell us, we will know about it here at the forum before even the rep knew about it, that is our mission to know about good things before they even become real.

Are you also making a case for this spam product at other forums? Are you discussing it at other forums.

Did you know about this product before eaglepi first spammed. Do you know eaglepi?

Oh, the reason people with RA need disposable mesh underwear is to just throw them away after after they get soiled with spam.

Nope, I don't know any of them. I'd never even heard of the product. But I'm willing to try different things here and there, under reasonable circumstances. I DO suffer from RA, just like you, and I'm looking for a little relief, just like you. This is reasonable to me, because it's free. That's pretty straight forward. You don't HAVE to buy one. You don't have to buy one from HIM either. This is something that can be found all over the net. So once again, why not try googling it.

The mesh underwear was a joke with Alan. He has a good sense of humor, that is all.

This forum is NOT Spam free. It would be nice if it was, however no one moderates it. Sad, but true.

Well, Miss Katie, I come to your defense with words of great wisdom.  Sometimes when faced with the absurd...it's best to just go along for the ride!  OK, this is a test...who can name the following poem and its author?  First prize is permission to laugh out loud for the rest of the day.

Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
Did gyre and gimble in the wabe:
All mimsy were the borogoves,
  And the mome raths outgrabe.

"Beware the Jabberwock, my son!
The jaws that bite, the claws that catch!
Beware the Jubjub bird, and shun
  The frumious Bandersnatch!"

He took his vorpal sword in hand:
Long time the manxome foe he sought --
So rested he by the Tumtum tree,
  And stood awhile in thought.

And, as in uffish thought he stood,
The Jabberwock, with eyes of flame,
Came whiffling through the tulgey wood,
  And burbled as it came!

One, two! One, two! And through and through
  The vorpal blade went snicker-snack!
He left it dead, and with its head
  He went galumphing back.

"And, has thou slain the Jabberwock?
Come to my arms, my beamish boy!
O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!'
  He chortled in his joy.

`Twas brillig, and the slithy toves
  Did gyre and gimble in the wabe;
All mimsy were the borogoves,
  And the mome raths outgrabe.

Oh come on. That's not even a challenge! Lewis Carroll The Jabberwockey  First officially featured in Alice Through the Looking Glass.

Haaaaaa and the crowd goes wild! Woooo!!

Indeed it is...perhaps a discussion of the parallels between Alice's adventures and our daily experiences with RA would be illuminating...or at least distracting!  Oh well, after a few moments pause to contemplate the absurd, back to the original, very serious discussion.  As for me, I'm off to practice songs from "The Phantom of the Opera" on my mandolin.

Alan

LevLarry,

I don't think Katie's a shill. She, like many members of this board, think "a little" spam is OK - or at least the spam they personally approve of.

IMHO - that's a mistake.

Oh, well. There's nothing that can be done about it. <shrug>

Spam is spam.  Whether someone comes here to sell their product to you or sell their forum to you  as "spam free and moderated" (over and over again), there is no difference. This forum is Arthritis Insight, not RASushi, but all that I see is RASushi this and RASushi that. So why can't someone selling what seems a good product take a chance and make a few bucks?  There are many forums out there that are spam free, moderated and fun, but you do not see them coming here spamming the board to come on over.

Spam seems to be in the eye of the beholder

Re: Joey2

Oh... just like RALady from 4RATalk came over here and "spammed" their board?

i tried to contact the owners of this site about having a moderator and even vollunteering to be one if they needed it, but of course i got no answer at all.

What email address did you use? Because he gave it only at the bottom of his post. I will forward you my e-mail if you'd like to see it.

Harold..myself and a few others in the past have tried to contact various people about this board and offer our help as well...same result..it is a shame there are people willing to help and no one cares to accept it...

Oh. I didn't read that right at all. And I forgot what thread this was. LMAO Ignore my last post, as it probably makes NO sense what-so-ever.

I need sleep. Tee-hee
