Arghh! Dropped the Humira | Arthritis Information

This morning, I was about to inject my Humira (cap off, needle exposed) when I dropped it on the floor. Of course, it was my last dose for the month, and my new refill wasn't scheduled to come until Wed.

I called Curascript, my specialty pharmacy, and they gave me a special number to call at Abbott to get a new dose. That person was away until February, so I got transferred to an operator who transferred me to someone else's voice mail. I left a message with that person who never called me back.

Abbott is in Worcestor, MA and I'm in CA, but they had 3 hours to call.

Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Any suggestions?

I'm hurting.

Jennifer

I haven't dropped mine; but I have screwed up my quick inject pen so I couldn't use it.

My pharmacy where it's shipped from is in the next town over. My husband went the next day and picked mine up. Hope you can get your soon.

Hang in there. You can do it. I've had to go 4 weeks before without mine due to infection. It wasn't until week two it started to be bad and actually week 4 before I started to hate life again.

Hope you'll be ok.

Argh how frustrating.  Is there any way your RD can call in a dose to your pharmacy and your insurance cover it?

Hang in there.  I have gone 6 weeks without Humira because of being sick.  Like Lovie said, it was about week 4 that I really started to hate life.  I am playing catch up now but feeling better.

if the vial isnt broken, could you get a new syringe from your dr?  just take the vial in and have them transfer it to another syringe? It hassnt  dripped out, all you need is a new  way to inject it
