Woo, I did it! Had my appt. with the gal in Infusion this morning, and I actually gave myself my first Humira injection, right in my belly!
It wasn't so bad at all. I surprised myself! Just grabbed the skin and stuck that ol' needle right in there! LOL! 'Course, I learned very quickly to take my time pushing the plunger... it did indeed burn pushing that liquid in there! She told me, just take your time and don't push it any faster than you can handle. I was relieved to see that last little bit go in and carefully pull the needle out. It's now been 4 hours ago, and I only have a tiny red mark to show for it. Hopefully I won't have any problems, and this med will be the one that really helps me with my RA and PsA troubles.
