I think this is worse than the high dose prednisone!!!  I started on lycria this past Friday and the dizziness has gone away and its helping a little bit but today, I just can not stop eating!!!

Since my diarrhea has been better, I ate a HUGE salad for lunch.  Than I had 2 100 snack packs of cookies and just now a sales rep brought in chocolate covered potato chips!!!  EVIL they are!!  I ate half the box before I even realized it and I still feel hungry!!!

I'm already about 40lbs over weight, I can't gain any more weight!!  Someone please tell me this side effect will also pass?!

I know you've been through a barrage of tests, but have they tested your thyroid? (I bet you say yes..lol)

I dunno :( I hope it's a side effect that passes!

Yep, thyroid gets check about every 6 months as my mom has thyroid issues!

Weight gain is a side effect of the lycria, I just hope the insatiable appetite passes soon, I might naw my own arm off!!

This is what I'm worried about. Weight gain is the first thing I try to find out about when I start on a new med. A year ago I was under weight. I've gained 10 lbs. since May!! I've always been able to keep in shape by walking but I've had heel pain for several months now and the bike doesn't have the same benefits. I haven't been able to lift weights like before and with my age, 52, I'm worried that I'm not going to be able to keep it under control. It's really a control issue. One of the last things in my life I've had control over and I'm losing that too. This is really depressing.

Their "Not Tonight Dear - I Have a Headache" topic (I kid you not

When I am on a eating rampage, I eat more than you just listed and a lot less healthier foods

But since being cut back down to 5mg, I do not eat that much. I only eat like one meal a day, and no snacking. I just do not feel hungry as much now and do not crave the sweets like I did.

When I was off pred for that one month, I would forget to eat. I would put stuff in the microwave and forget about it. One time I put a dinner in the microwave and forgot about it, and 8 hours later hubby opened the microwave and asked how long it had been in there and I was like since 1pm? and he was like how you forget to eat? I was like because I just am not hungry and I was just trying to eat something to keep me from getting sick.

Meds are a weird thing. One makes you eat way more than you would like, they make you crave bad foods, and then some make you feel like not eating at all.
