Hi all.  I've been enjoying reading your posts and decided to introduce myself.  I'm a 32 year-old female and I've had RA for 7 years.  I'm currently on 100 mg of Celebrex.  I've been trying to conceive for two years, and have been unsuccessful, with the exception of one miscarriage.  I'm looking forward to chatting with everyone and sharing stories.

Hello and welcome. Glad you've decided to join in. Tell us more about yourself.Hi Birdie...welcome!

Helloooo!!!! :)

Hope to see you posting around more!! :)

Hi Birdie. Are you taking anything besides the Celebrex? I'm on it, too, but I take a whole cocktail of drugs. Is your RA under control? Do you have a good rheumatologist? It'll be good to hear from you! Welcome. I've been married for 3 1/2 years and have no kids (just doggies).  I love to travel, ski, and mt bike when my arthritis permits.  I design computer software for a living.  Over the years, I've been on Plaquenil, Relafen, Vioxx, and Bextra.  Diet and supplements have helped keep my arthritis under control.  I have minor deformities in my hands and pain in almost every joint.  Thanks so much for responding to my post and welcoming me!    Oh here, doggies are kids. Lots of animal lovers here. I want a doggy. Knee surgery and then I'm doggy shopping.

Fiona, Right now I'm only taking Celebrex since I'm trying to conceive.  My arthritis is normally under control but has been bad the past few weeks due to the crazy weather in the midwest.  I don't have a good rheumatologist...she just writes me a prescription once a year and completes blood tests a few times a year.  I've been very frustrated while trying to get pregnant because my rheumatologist wants me to get guidance from my ob and my ob wants me to get guidance from my rheumatologist.  Unfortunately, I live in a small town and don't have many doctors to chose from.  I occasionally go to doctors in larger cities but it's not feasible on a regular basis.  Thanks for welcoming me!

Welcome Birdie! We are always happy to have new people join us. As Deanna said, lots of animal lovers! You will fit right in.

We all try to help each other and there's always someone around to talk to.

Happy to have you with us.

Nini
