I got such a problem and need some advice!  My doctor took me off the vicodin and put me on darvocet.  Why, I dont know! When I called his office and asked for my refill, this is what I got.  I dont know if he wants me off it because he thinks I am addicted or what!  This is the only med that helps me get through my day with the pain.  I take it every 4-6 hrs depending on the pain.  Especially if I am doing housework or laundry.  For the past 2 days, I am in so much pain because these darvocet doesnt touch the pain.  Does anyone have any advice??? I am so hurting right now!!  I cant even cry anymore!

Hi Lisa,

You should call the MD office and request an explanation.  You will probably have to leave a message but I would ask for the nurse to call you regarding your medications and when she does, I would request her or the MD to explain why this was done.  If they are unwilling to discuss this, request an appointment ASAP.

My other thought is...maybe the nurse called in the wrong medication.  This happens and could be corrected very easily.

I hope you get some relief soon!

Hello Teresa,

Thanks for the reply!  I called back and told them and they called in what I needed, thank goodness!!

I know when they mess up with me I totally internalize it and feel so frustrated.  Then I remind myself that it's not personal...they are just humans that make human mistakes!!!

I'm happy that you are feeling better!

BTW...the last time I called in for a refill on my Lortab, they had not responded after 2 days.  I felt like I was being labeled a "drug abuser" and I was really scared to call back!  When I did, they called the pharmacy immediately!

And...the best part of all, instead of my usual 60 tabs...the nurse called in 90!  Now that's a mistake I can handle!!!

I hope you have a pain free day!

T~
