Slightly off topic i know, but its that time of year i guess. Just wondering what holiday plans ye great folk have. It always gives me a positve boost to get away for a while. Thinking of heading down to Albuifeira in Portugal for a couple of weeks. All that DRY heat works wonders for the joints.
Anyone else got any ideas?.....
My family is taking a vacation the last week in July and we can not wait!! Have not exactly nailed down our destination as of yet and would welcome a few ideas also.
We're a blended family and our children (4 of them) range in age from 7 to 15.
My husband has his heart set on Jamica but if I can come up with a cheaper option we'd all love I'd be the happy one
I can't wait to just be off work for a week!!!
And Dagda; I personally welcome the "Off topic" post. It doesn't hurt for us all to get our minds off our problems some times. We should make a point of having discussions that are "Off topic" mixed in with the others...for those that might be interested. Thanks!

I'm leaving for California on June 30th. Hubby and I haven't taken a vacation in 15 years, so we're way over due for this one! I've never been to California...that sounds wonderful....and well over due; I hope you have a wonderful time!!Vacation? Man does that sound wonderful. I'm taking a week off in July, but finances won't allow a trip. I think the kids and I will just hang out around the house this summer, or maybe drive to MI to visit a friend. We just pretty much take it as it comes.
This is the busy time of year where I work, and being the Store Manager, it takes an act of Congress for me to just get a day off.
Or... maybe I'll just pack up and head to Portugal with Dagda!!

Well today officially starts me vacation until august 20! I am not really planning anything cept to work around the house. I am going to disney world July 10-16, that will be fun.. hot but fun...

No vacation for me at least not yet hehe I hope I could go visit my fiance in VA soon though. I hope you all have fun and safe vacations! I took a week off to relax after Memorial Day, but no vacation for me until the winter. I am going to Barcelona for 7 days, and then to Paris for 5 days! I can't wait!Barcelona eh? Beautiful city. If you can, try and take a trip up to Montserrat ( about 60 km away) . You can take a cable car up to a 12th century monastery, spectacular. The Pyrenees are amazing aswell. Only a couple of hours north of barcelona.
California sounds neat too, spent a few years living in B.C. Canada in the 90s, always wanted to head south down the coast to San Francisco, never did though. Oh well, maybe some day.
I'm going to Cyprus on Aug 10th. I'm so excited. 2 weeks of sunshine and doing absolutly nothing. Plus the heat helps my joints so thats always a good thing. I've told my mum that we have to fly first class to prevent my knees becoming stiff. Good excuse or what for top notch service,I'm taking four of the kids camping in Rehobeth Beach just for 3 days. I'm not sure, but I might be nuts!I love really what everyone will be doing for vacations.
We are going to DisneyWorld also...in fact Unicorn...we will be there the exact same time that you will be there. Where are you staying?
