Feeling a little woozy? | Arthritis Information

I just started Enbrel with my first injection a couple of hours ago.  I'm feeling kind of "out of it"...a little tired, a little dizzy, a little foggy.

I'm wondering if this could be a reaction to the Enbrel, or just from my regular pain meds.  Did anyone else have this experience when they started?

OTOH, I'm happy to report that so far I have no injection site reaction other than the area being tender...no itching, swelling or redness.

I have never felt 'out of it' on Enbrel.  Call the hotline for enliven services - they have a nurse that will talk with you about how you feel.  Also call your doc - have them call you back to check on how you're feeling.

I found reading these posts, a lot of the people posting are on some serious meds and as we like to share our own reactions - everyone is different. Best of luck on Enbrel.

Right after I first started Enbrel, I would feel a little light headed and out of it after injecting.  It didn't happen every time, but did happen a few times.  I've been on Enbrel for a little over four months now, and haven't noticed the light headedness lately.  Hopefully you'll "grow out of it" as well

You can get "Enliven" services online as well. http://www.enlivenservices.com/

I was on Enbrel for 2.5 years and now that you mention it, I do remember feeling kinda spacey after the first coupla shots. I had chalked it up to anxiety about giving myself the injection.

(I was really nervous about the shot, lol)

Well today I don't have the light-headed feeling (thanks...I couldn't think of that word yesterday), but I do have a bit of headache and nausea.

The great thing about being on so many meds (now up to 10 Rx plus supplements) is you never know which one is causing what.

Anyway, I'm glad it's Friday so I can rest over the weekend.
