What's the best book you've read on RA?

Since I am newly diagnosed with RA (although my sypmtoms started in the summer), I would like to read a good general book so I can understand what's specifically RA vs. my other conditions.

"Rheumatoid Arthritis: Plan to Win" and "The First Year: Rheumatoid Arthritis" are both good places to start. I'm told "Arthritis for Dummies" is really good. You might also want to check out info at www.arthritis.org, and www.mayo.com.

I also read The First Year: Rheumatoid Arthritis.  It was very good.  I am looking for others as well!

I just ordered the First Year book (I read the one on FM and really liked it) so I'll start there.  Thanks for the recommendations.

The only book:

The New Arthritis Breakthrough and/or Scleroderma, The Proven Therapy That Can Save Your Life by Henry Scammell

The first time I went to see my RD, he told me that the first thing I was to do after leaving his office was to get the following book and read it:

Living With Rheumatoid Arthritis (Johns Hopkins Press Health Book) by Tammi Schlotzhauer and James McGuire.

I thought it was a very good book, and it gave me a good understanding of the disease, what I could expect, and what kinds of treatments were out there.

dordale :)
"The New Arthritis Breakthrough" by Henry Scammell.  I have been on the protocol for 4 months but I know it can take a year or more.  It is the only treatment that doesn't have terrible side effects and I look forward to dumping MTX and Enbrel.
