Med Question: HELP | Arthritis Information

I want to a muscle relaxer because I've been on my feet all day. My back, knees and hips have had enough!! Last night I didn't rest good, and I worked all day. (Whinning over

Is it okay to take the muscle relaxer (the names upstairs; I can go get it if I have to) in a little while my MTX and then my Humira, pretty much with in a few hours of each other.

I think it's ok...but I get weird about medications sometimes....but I want to relax and rest!!

Did your Doc prescribe all of these together? If so, then there shouldnt be a problem. Best thing to do if unsure is Google both MTX and Humira and check what shouldnt be taken with what. To the best of my knowledge only live vaccinations and other TNF blockers cause problems with Humira. As for MTX, i guess make sure the Muscle relaxer doesnt say anything about problems with the Liver.

OK; good advise Dagda. My did doctor prescribed the muscle relaxers when I had a really bad time with my back....and I was on Humira and MTX at the time...so I do remember it being ok now. That's all I needed was a memory jog.

Another thing about the meds that I wanted to add...my pharmacist always stops me when I am getting a new med filled if it counteracts with something that I am already taking. Most of the time it had to do with MTX. I have a muscle relaxer also (Flexeril) and I took it while I was taking MTX with no problems. I have never been on Humira, but it always seemed that MTX counteracted with more stuff than anything else I have ever taken.

Thanks so much guys. I didn't sleep too great last night; actually I tossed and turned so much my Husband told me we were going to buy a new matress today. We didn't do that but we did go get one of those memory foam things to go on the bed...spelt like a baby during my 2 hour Sunday nap.

I got up rather grouchy because the house was such a mess....so my husband helped me get the house in order and I'm headed back to my comfortable new bed (Feels new anyway)in my fresh clean room to watch TV for a while.

Feeling pretty good; just tired.
