Hip Pain Question | Arthritis Information

I did not want to take over Honey's post with something that does not sound anywhere near what is described in the posts. I seem to have been doing that alot this week... I think from being too lazy to start my own topic

Anyways....

Does anyone else's hip throb with pain like where the femur goes into the socket?

My right hip and sometimes my left hip will throb with pain... but it done it mostly when I was not taking my calcium pills for like 3 months straight

But recently... I have been having the throbbing pain my right hip every night just a couple of hours before I decide to go to sleep. I am taking my calcium and my daily multi-vitamin.

When was your last bone scan?

(But that's probably because I was suppose to get a full scan 3 months ago and I still haven't made the appointment.

I know when I am finished with this pred dose pak. I will be flaring, because when I get up my fingers are semi-swelled and my knees are swelled at night before I go to sleep. So... I have been flaring non-stop since the beginning of Nov of '06. I just have been trying to suck it up and hope the Humira does its job like it did before, but then I had all those set backs on taking my humira.

Levlarry - I know about the calcium, when I went to my second RD, which was the one who made me a pred junkie, told me I needed to take 1500-1800mg of calcium a day, and she was the one who done my bone density scan as well, but she was a really rude, un-unstanding person and her office was over an hour away.

P.S.  I forgot to buy my calcium and multi-vitamin again tonight. yeah I remembered on our way home! I suck. Hubby sucks because he forgot too.

And still you avoided the question about seeing the doctor. I have your number Joonie. What is it about you not seeing doctors? If you are still swelling that much, call your Rheumy and at least let him know. And get that hip checked out, will you?

Joonie,

I get this 'hot' spot on the side of my hips (even with the pocket but on the side) it is about 3 inches in diameter. I'm told it is bursitis of the hips. I too refuse to have hip trouple. feet, knees, hands writs, elbow, neck and jaw are enough.

You will live though this too. Hows the elbow coming - can you get the cap off a pen using only your hands? (Not fair to use teeth).
