haven't posted in awhile because I've been managing...but in the last month I have some new pains where I never had them before and I keep getting flu like symptoms that keep me in bed for days at a time...No sniffles, just complete fatigue and slight fever....so here's the question....I'm thinking the Enbrel has ceased to work because of the new pain. I'm so stressed out about it beacause I'm a single mom now and I'm only working 20 hours a week and it feels like too much! I see my RA guy day after tomorrow. Does anyone else get the "flu" a lot?

I get that 'flu' feeling whenever I am in a flare and sometimes when I'm not. It's so frustrating. How long have you been on the enbrel? Do you have joint pain too? I'm glad you are seeing your rheumy in a couple days. Hopefully, he can help. Sorry, I'm not much help. Just wanted to let you know you aren't alone!
Thank you so much, this is the worst disease because we look fine on the outside and it's hard for people to imagine what's going on inside. I've been on Enbrel for about 7 or 8 months I think...I used to take Humira. Lately I wake up and my hands are so swollen and achy. the new pains are in my knee and in the base of my thumb. However for the last month by thumb has felt broken and my rheumy didn't seem concerned...my hip hurts now sometimes but he thinks it could be bursitis. I get an x-ray slip when I see him on Wed...I've been sick every weekend since xmas. I can get through my day at work and my nights with the kids but by the weekend, I'm so sick I can't go anywhere but bed.
