Decided to take myself off celebrex | Arthritis Information

Decided I didn't need to take my celebrex seems I didn't have any pain and felt really well ... as I have not been diagnosed for Lupus, I decided that must just be  old age or something setting in.

So I have not had pain med for four days now - But boy am I suffering for it now ... I have the most agonising pain in my left hand index finger, hot sweats and these horrible little blistery itchy bites on me.  Don't know if this is related or not but funny how they have all come about at the same time

I have got my Rhuemy appt for the 8th Feb, so hopefully they will find the cause of these silly little problems and sort it out.

I really really really dont want Lupus!!!

Thanks for reading my blubbering mess

Cheers

I have been taken off my RA meds (Relafen, Humira) because I have to have surgery Thursday and boy do I miss them!! I am just so stiff and sore everywhere. I also have the itchy blisters on my face and arms. TOO WEIRD!!!

ALSO, my next appt is FEB 8th too!!

Chunky: have you been tested for Lupus already?

Take care

CinDee

Good luck on your surgery CinDee and I will be praying for you.

Bonny, I will take all the prayers I can get. I just want it over with so I can get back to taking my meds.

Hi, thanks guys

Took a Celebrex before bed last night, my hand is no where as sore as it was yesterday - fool.

CinDee good luck with your surgery, I am sure you will be fine and they will get you back to taking your pain meds, it seems terrible how we have to rely on a little pill to make us get up and move every day

I have not been tested for Lupus, just had blood work done, came back with a ANA  of 640, and all this other weird stuff I do not understand, the gp just said - you have a autoimmune disease and I am sending you to a Rhuematologist to get tested for SLE, so that was basically that.

I dont have any spots on my face, just my arms and legs really, but they get really itchy, drives me crazy

Thanks for your replies guys and once again good luck CinDee

thanks ChunkyChic! I really appreciate it! My RA doc tested me on my first visit for lupus and like you said some other weird stuff I don't understand either. It was negative.

I hope you feel better soon!

Those itchy spots sound like hives! I hate hives! They can come from stress, or allergy to meds, or allergy to food, or something you never do figure out.
