Hello Everyone.... does anyone has more pain with the change in weather...like warm to cold, when its raining, etc.  I am feelin more pain with the very cold temps and when its snowing, etc.  I dont know, maybe I am nuts, lol!  I am hurting more in my hips, back and knees that sometimes I dont know where to put myself.  I do take pain meds but doesnt seem to help that much on these days.  Any advice??

Thanks A Bunch,

Lisa

It's snowing here this morning; but I'm no worse than yesterday. The colder temps do stiffen me a good bit; but that's normal.

Try to stay warm....hope you feel better soon.

Lisa, You are very right. Weather can change on how you will feel. Right now I am in alot of pain from the weather

I definately have more pain when the weather changes.  Especially rainy days.  The weather fronts affect me greatly.  You are not nuts!

Your not nuts.  My legs barely function now.  I hope that summer will ease the pain. The weather definitely affects me and we get it all up here in Canada!!  Enjoy your vacation Joan! Hope you'll feel great.THis was in the news today:

Although millions with arthritis have always said it's so, it's never true until some doctor declares it is! Just like so many other things regarding this mysterious disease.

i get worse in the rain, snow, cold!!! i can tell when its going to rain haha!

summer time brings great comfort for me... except summer rain showers get me too :(

your not nuts... unless im nuts too and im not nuts haha

Change in weather definitely causes pain for me.  I can feel the fronts 2-3 days ahead of time.  We are getting a very bad cold snap starting Saturday and lasting til Wednesday.  I am flaring right on schedule lol.  I just prep myself for the weather.  Make sure I have my pain meds, extra blankets to stay warm, scripts picked up, etc.

Thanks everyone for the replies!! At least I know its just not me. Sometimes some of the things that I feel or the pain that its all in my head. And that is how the dr makes me feel too! I cant wait until I go see the Rhy. dr in 2 weeks. Hopefully he/she will be able to help me!  I just need to get over my SSD hearing next Wednesday. Gosh..between the stress of that and this weather I am totally wacky, lol! We are suppose to get into that very very cold spell too...I guess I will have to bundle up like a big ball of fur, lol! Joan..I hope you have a great vacation..try to enjoy it! Thanks again everyone!

I AM ABOUT TO RIP MY SKIN APART...this weather is the pits in VA.

We have had a rain snow mix and a front that is moving at snails speed.  It has been the most miserible time for me.

Everything on my body hurts. I was having a small flare for about 2 weeks and now I think, because of the weather,  it has turned into a major flare.

LORD KNOWS, I wish I could have stayed at home today. BUT NO...I am at work...keying invoices and I just want to crawl back into bed, takes some pain meds...AND I MEAN THE MAJOR PAIN MEDS, Not MOTRIN, NOT PUNK TYLENOL, I MEAN SOME VICODEN, OR OXYCODENE, OR MORPHINE...and go to sleep for the rest of the day.

I know it is no laughing matter, but it is all I can do to stop from crying.

Roblyn

I'm a regular weather forecaster. It's that barometric pressure that affects our joints. It hailed here this week which quite unusual and yes I want to crawl up in a ball with the best pain killer that I can get my hands on.

Roblyn, you are making me glad I'm not working through it.

Physical therapists and Rheumys will acknowledge that they see more problems with patients when the weather is changing. It is so not in our heads.

I can always tell when there's going to be a change in the weather, usually 3 days ahead of time... there's a deep throbbing in my legs... as if someone whacked them with a baseball bat. My husband says I'm more accurate than the weatherman.

Oh, Robin, what a tough day you're having.

Judy

I feel every front coming in and going out. So glad to live in Phoenix with boring weather!

It really does not matter if the weather is nice or lousy..it is the barometric change that hurts me. Especially true of a fast moving front, I'll find myself almost in tears in the afternoon of a fairly good day, then I'll notice the cloud build up and say 'oh there it goes again' but not so politely.
