mY rHEUMY HAS CHANGED ME SEVERAL TIMES AND I AM HAVING A PROBLEM FINDING ONE THAT I DON'T HAVE A REACTION TO.  FIRST WAS ARTHOTEC, GAVE ME STOMACH PAIN AND THE TROTS BUT HELPED.  THEN CHANGED TO CELEBREX FOR ABOUT A YEAR AND RHEUMY SAID AFTER AWHILE IT SOMETIMES QUITS WORKING.  THEN SHE HAD BE ON MOBIC AWHILE BUT STARTED HAVING SEVERE HEADACHES DAILY AFTER ABOUT 9 MONTHS.  CHANGED TO  LODINE, BURNED MY TUMMY, THE TROTS AGAIN AND EXTREME DROWSINESS.   SHE CALLED IN A NEW ONE FOR ME i'VE NEVER HEARD OF, NABUMETONE.  STATES ON BOTTLE CAUSES DROWSINESS.  SHE KNOWS I HAVE CHRONIC FATIGUE AND CAN'T TAKE ANYTHING THAT MAKES ME SLEEPY.

I have found that tylenol arthritis tablets seem to help me. I used to take bextra so when they pulled it from the market I tried a couple of other things...they did not work...so I finally tried plain old tylenol  and it helps!

dO YOU TAKE DAILY?  ARE THESE APPROVED FOR LONGER TERM USE?Oh man!  Good luck with that.  I'm on Mobic now and so far doing good.  I'll bet there will be some new ones coming out soon. Nabumetone is the generic name for relafen.  I couldn't tolerate that med.  Made me sick.  But then again, so did the cox 2s.  Vioxx and Celebrex were bad for my tummy.
hugs, wayney
I take celebrex occasionally because its no longer covered by my insurance but at one point I did take it daily and that was the best for me. It did make my tummy hurt but I took Ranitidine at the time and helped, but im on prilosec for tummy issues now and it works great. I think you should take a tummy med when on any of those that can cause tummy probs! good luck hun !

I took Relafen early on...but never really got much releif from NSAIDS alone. I think when I took it I also was on predisone and sulfersalzine at the same time.

I hope you find one that suits you....it's so aggrevating the constant switching of medications. I know that headache first hand. Hang in there girl.
