I know there are some smarties on here that know all of the tricks that a computer has to offer.  My question is: How can I block incoming email messages so that the sender knows they are blocked?  I block messages now, but they just go into my deleted file and the sender does not know that I have blocked their messages and therefore they just keep sending them.  And, at this point in my life, hubby is way beyond using Viagra!  LOL
Thanks!
First question - what email service are you using?

It depends which service.  AOL makes it easy....Let us know which one you're on.

eeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww AOL.

LOL
I am with Adelphia and use outlook express.   Justin says that is impossible to do with outlook express.  He's the computer nerd of this house...so I believe him. LoL

Anyone else?
Boo Hoo, thank you Justin.

welll.......there is a way to send a message simialr to blocking, its called bouncing a message, and it will look to the sender as if your email address is no good. kinda a complicated process, but with the program and time trial, 30 days i think, you could do the job quick without any expense. this will work if your doing it to one or two people you KNOW. not to spammers. if your trying to get rid of spam, don't bother. nothing seams to work on the spammers.

let me know what your situation is, i'll see if i can help you.

Hi Harold, now you are giving me a bit of hope.  I receive messages about cheaper drugs like Viagra and also some of them look like they may be from another country and they are about stocks, etc.  Harold, I am wondering if there might be a separate program that can be installed.  What do other people do?  I have not searched on the internet for such a product, but with all of this technology out there, they must have something.
Thanks for your interest Harold.

ahh....

i though it might be spam your looking to block, and i am afraid to tell you to give it up.

practice safe posting, never post your email address on a public site such as this or any other.. thats one sure fire way to get spammed.

don't post on usenet groups (newsgroups) . spoof your email reply to address and posting address if you do.

one other way is to get an email account for just the people you trust, friends and family and use it for just that.

get another one for sites like this, that you will expect to get spam.

keep it seperate, that way your personal email, private and all, will be somewhat spam free. it wont be completely, i have to tell you. they still manage to get to you no matter what.

other than that, i cant offer any hope of getting rid of the nusence.

believe me i have tried. i paid for a program to help me get rid of the 40 plus spam i get per day.

yeah, that helped. NOT!

harold9539116.4355555556Darn!  I have always taken precautions, or I thought I did.  Thanks again Harold.
