Hi. I have been looking for a place to post this question all day...LOL   All, and when I say all, I mean ALL of my joints have been very swollen and painfull for 5 days now. The first day I just thought I was sore because I was in a pool with kids hanging on me for 3 1/2 hours and I am not used to exersice. On the second day I thought maybe I was getting the flu but the pain was very bad. That night I was getting a little scared because I couldn't even stand or close my hands or move my neck. On the third day I went to the emergency room. They took blood and 2 hours later a nurse came to release me. I was confussed because no one came in to tell me the results or even really ask me what my problem was...LOL  She looked at the papers and said it looks like you have arthritis. The Doctor prescribed Motrin and Vicodine and told me to go to my doctor on Monday. Which is toorrow.

My question is, is it possible to get arthritis in every single joint at the same time? I have had arthritis in my back and a couple fingers for years now. Ironically my back wasn't bothering me. I am a 39 year old female.

Please, if anyone has a clue, let me know if this is possible...

Thanks.....Cudda

Welcome

I'm glad your exhaustive search led you here

Good luck with your Dr tomorrow!

Pam

Thank you so much for replying to my post Pam. I just found it hard to believe that it can come on all of a sudden like that and all over...LOL

I haven't callled my Doctor yet (it's to early) but will later on. I am also gonna go in the other forum you told me about and introduce myself and read about other people.

Again, Thanks! You have eased my mind some. I was starting to think maybe I was bitten by a bug or something even worst.

Have a great day!

There's lots of folks here with years of expereince; no real doctors here that I know of, but before it's over I can almost bet you'll learn more from your friends here than you'll ever learn from your doctor.

Definately make your appointment asap. Like Pam said you'll need to be referred to a RD and sometimes that takes a little time.

Again; Welcome to our forum. We're glad you're here.

Lovie

Welcome

Yes, it is possible to have everything flare up all at once. You definitely need to see a Rheumatologist for a diagnosis and start treatment. I'm glad to see that you are going to contact your Dr today. Good luck.

Cudda  I have Arthritis in all my joints except my righ knee.  Do not ask me why, even the doctors have never been able to explain.  I am 37yrs old now and have had Arthrits, actually JRA, since 18 months of age.  So unfortuneatly the answer to your question is yes you can have Arthrits in all you joints at the same time.
